According to an affidavit, Brousard was arrested on Thursday, April 13, at a residence in Monroe, Kentucky, after the two had been arguing.
The Kentucky Medical Board, which enforces the state’s medical-abortion laws, said Brouson and the victim had been in an argument that escalated into Brouessard shooting a bullet into the victim’s stomach.
The woman was treated at a local hospital, according to the affidavit.
Broussards attorney could not be reached for comment on Friday.
