The top medical schools in the U.S. are getting better.
But there’s no denying the national ranking is a bit off.
The top 25 medical schools ranked by U.K. Medical Journal ranked them by median income, the median income for each class, median student GPA, average length of time students spent in a medical program and average amount of medical school debt.
As the Washington Post reports, the average student at U.N.M.A. is spending more than $200,000 annually on medical school, but average GPA of the top 25 ranked medical schools is just 2.25.
The Post notes that there is a “growing chorus of critics who say the U.”
Medical School rankings are biased and biased against U.s. medical graduates.
“For example, one doctor told the Post the U.’s ranking was “an insult to our doctors.
“Another wrote, “I’m very disappointed that the rankings are being used as a benchmark to determine which schools are best and are being unfairly biased against medical graduates in the United States.
“A U. N.M., which is the world’s largest medical school and has one of the best medical accreditation programs, recently released a statement that the ranking is not accurate.
The U.U. is a global leader in biomedical education, medical science and research and has established the world-renowned, world-class U. of N. Medical Schools as the benchmark for excellence in medical education.
We continue to invest in our mission to bring excellence to the world and serve the needs of patients.
We have not received a complaint about the ranking.
The rankings were based on a list of more than 1,500 U. S. medical schools and a sample of more 200 U. K. medical programs, with schools in 33 countries.
In a statement to The Washington Post, the U of N., which oversees medical schools, called the rankings “highly subjective and biased,” and said they do not represent the opinions of U. New Mexico.”
We look forward to continuing to build upon the legacy of U of New Mexico Medical School and continue to build on the achievements of our faculty and students,” the statement said.
